Why We Built This
Nigeria's rental market has long been broken in three specific ways:
- Skyrocketing rent prices — inflation and naira devaluation have pushed annual rents beyond what most households can realistically save, forcing families into debt or homelessness.
- Defaulting tenants — landlords collecting a full year upfront still face tenants who abandon properties mid-lease, leaving them with no recourse and months of lost income.
- Barriers for startups & young professionals — new businesses and career starters cannot commit ₦1–3 million upfront for an office or flat, stunting their growth before they begin.
In 2025, Calistus Ibeme set out to build a platform that solves all three problems simultaneously — giving tenants flexibility, giving landlords reliable income via direct debit, and giving everyone a fair deal.
